Watercolor

Watercolor has been my most loved medium since childhood. I remember an art teacher in elementary school doing a painting of pink flamingoes in watercolor. I was in awe.

Several years ago I had the opportunity to study under a watercolor artist on a regular basis. I gained some confidence and produced a few pieces that I’m proud of. But then I had the opportunity to expand my piano lesson business and the watercolor got set aside for about 10 years.

In May of 2023 I began pursuing watercolor again. Picking up a brush after 10 years was both intimidating and thrilling.

Take a journey through the past year. Note that the art is arranged most recent to the earliest paintings. I’m encouraged when I look at them because I see growth.

Unless stated otherwise, all paintings are 11” x 15”, unframed and unmatted.
